President's Message

Dear Friends, Members, and Fellow Law Students,

As I begin my term as President of the Australia Singapore Law Students’ Society (AUSLSS), I am both humbled and excited to lead our community into its fifth year. It is a privilege to work alongside a passionate Executive Committee united by a shared goal: strengthening the bridge between Singaporean and Australian legal education, practice, and student life.

This year marks not just continuity but renewal. We honour the contributions of the outgoing and past Committees, whose dedication has guided AUSLSS from its formative years into a thriving and respected society. The legacy they leave behind continues to shape our success, and as many of them embark on professional journeys, we are proud to call them part of our growing alumni network.

Over the years, AUSLSS has had the privilege of working with respected organisations, including government bodies such as the Legal Service Commission. Our initiatives have also attracted a significant following across Australia and Singapore, reflecting the trust the community has placed in us. We are determined to build on this momentum.

​

In the next chapter of AUSLSS, our vision is to foster a community that is inclusive, forward-thinking, and dynamic. While law binds us together, our strength lies in the diversity of our members’ paths, whether in traditional practice, academia, or careers at the intersection of law, business, and policy. Wherever those paths lead, AUSLSS will remain a welcoming space that amplifies voices, strengthens our shared identity, and builds bridges across borders.

Our focus this year is growth with purpose. While continuing the signature events that have defined AUSLSS, our priority is to expand our reach and strengthen our foundations. A central part of this will be developing sponsorships and resources to provide greater opportunities, stronger representation, and a more sustainable platform for our members.

At the same time, we aim to highlight the intersections between law, business, and society, creating new avenues for students to engage with the broader world in which the law operates.

​

We are grateful to our partners whose support has been vital to our success, and we look forward to deepening these relationships while forging new ones. AUSLSS thrives on connection, and we warmly welcome individuals and institutions who wish to collaborate with us in advancing our mission.

On behalf of the 2025/26 Executive Committee, I thank you for your continued support. As we begin this new chapter, our goal is to create lasting value for our members, strengthen ties with the legal community, and leave a firm foundation for the future. We look forward to the year ahead and to building a society that reflects our shared aspirations and collective potential with our members, partners, and alumni.
