President

Sanjeev Vijayakumar 

Sanjeev is a final-year law student at the University of Tasmania and serves as the President of the Australian University Singapore Law Students’ Society (AUSLSS). He leads the Society’s national operations, guides its key departments, and drives initiatives that support the professional growth and academic success of Singaporean law students across Australia. Working closely with industry partners, university stakeholders, and the AUSLSS EXCO, he focuses on expanding opportunities, strengthening governance, and building a vibrant and well-connected community.

His legal interests lie in construction law and commercial disputes, with particular attention to issues involving contractual breach, project compliance, and dispute-resolution mechanisms such as adjudication within the built environment sector. Sanjeev’s academic and leadership experiences reflect his commitment to fostering a collaborative, forward-looking culture within the AUSLSS and ensuring that members are supported both professionally and personally.

Outside of law, Sanjeev is well known for having a serious sweet tooth. When he is not deep in readings or working on society initiatives, he is likely testing the limits of how much sugar one person can reasonably consume. Friends insist his love for dessert borders on a personality trait.

Vice President 

Wong Ching Wern 

Ching Wern is a 2nd year law student at Monash University and currently serves as the Vice President of the Australian Singapore Law School Society. In her role, she supports the President in overseeing the Society’s three key departments, working to ensure smooth coordination, consistent communication, and a cohesive strategic direction across all initiatives. She also assists in long-term planning and helps guide committee members in delivering high-quality events and support services for the AUSLSS community.

External Affairs Director 

Jibrel Mok

Ashley is a final year law student at the University of Tasmania, she serves as the Internal Vice-President on the AUSLSS board. Ashley is primarily in-charge of the inter governance of the committee to maximise efficiency within the society. She also leads the Internal team which collaborates with Universities and Student Societies to serve as the bridge between them and the Singaporean Australia Law students. Outside of AUSLSS she enjoys creating content and being active!

Internal Affairs Director 

Suriya Prashan 

Prashan is a final-year law student at the University of Tasmania. As the Internals Director on the AUSLSS Board, Prashan oversees the society’s internal operations, coordinates team management, and promotes member wellbeing to maximize efficiency and foster a strong sense of interconnectedness within the society.

Publications Director 

Kalyaniaambigai Magendran

Ambi is a final year law student at Murdoch University. She currently serves as the Publications director, leading a team of four. She works on producing high quality, essential and useful articles to better serve the members and legal community as a whole. Ambi ensures that the publications align well with AUSLSS’s mission to inform and support the Singaporean community in Australia.

Finance Director

Harjodh Singh Gill

Harjodh is a third-year law student at Murdoch University and serves as the Sponsorships & Finance Director on the AUSLSS Board. In this role, he leads the society’s sponsorship strategy and financial initiatives, working closely with firms and industry partners to support programs that benefit Singaporean and Australian law students.

He also serves as the Careers Director of the Murdoch Student Law Society (MSLS), where he develops practical, career-focused programming that connects students with practitioners and strengthens pathways into the profession. His work centres on expanding opportunities, building networks, and ensuring students are equipped to thrive in the legal landscape.

Outside of law, Harjodh enjoys fitness and is passionate about self-development and building meaningful connections.
